Last Friday, Cumbria Young Conservatives Vice-Chair Sam Bown, and CYC member Luke Gudgeon, attended an event at Scaleby Castle, hosted by the Penrith and the Boarder Conservative Association.
In attendance were the local Conservative Association Chairman, Lord Oliver Henley, Cumbria Police and Crime Commissioner, Peter McCall, and Penrith and the Boarder MP, Dr Neil Hudson.
It was a great evening, with Luke winning in the raffle, and keen interest from senior local Conservatives in supporting the Cumbria Young Conservatives grow and develop as an organisation.
In Dr Neil Hudson's speech, he talked about his continuing work on Newton Rigg, along with his efforts to help improve connectivity rural communities across his constituency.
Now that we are coming out of the pandemic, and local associations start hosting events in person again, we will work to make sure that our members are invited to join these great networking and social events.
